Job Description: This intern will be located in Indiana. We will work with the successful candidate in placing them in their primary location. Locations include but are not limited to: Noblesville, Plainfield, Terre Haute, Greensburg, Clarksville, Carmel, Lafayette, Bloomington, Columbus, Kokomo, and other locations. Interns will undertake short-term responsibilities which may involve any or all of the following: electric distribution design, distribution system planning, distribution system operations, or distribution project management. Job Responsibilities: Currently enrolled and pursuing a four-year degree in an engineering or engineering technology discipline at an accredited college or university Valid driver’s license Proficient in Microsoft Office Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 Job Requirements: Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or greater Ability to deliver superior results within allocated time through effective prioritization, scheduling, planning and execution of assigned work Demonstrated tenacity by remaining persistent in the face of difficulty Previous engineering work experience Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills Works effectively with others from diverse backgrounds to achieve a common goal Desire to pursue a career in the energy industry Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering Demonstrated technical proficiency in use of computers, software, and engineering applications Demonstrated leadership qualities through effective decision making Qualification & Experience: Required to wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, appropriate clothing, ear plugs, fall protection, etc.) as needed Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs Working Conditions: Office and field environment – could require walking, hiking, light lifting, infrequent climbing, and occasionally being exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or noise.
