Job Description:
This intern will be located in Indiana. We will work with the successful candidate in placing them in their primary location. Locations include but are not limited to: Noblesville, Plainfield, Terre Haute, Greensburg, Clarksville, Carmel, Lafayette, Bloomington, Columbus, Kokomo, and other locations. Interns will undertake short-term responsibilities which may involve any or all of the following: electric distribution design, distribution system planning, distribution system operations, or distribution project management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a four-year degree in an engineering or engineering technology discipline at an accredited college or university
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75
Job Requirements:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or greater
- Ability to deliver superior results within allocated time through effective prioritization, scheduling, planning and execution of assigned work
- Demonstrated tenacity by remaining persistent in the face of difficulty
- Previous engineering work experience
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
- Works effectively with others from diverse backgrounds to achieve a common goal
- Desire to pursue a career in the energy industry
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in use of computers, software, and engineering applications
- Demonstrated leadership qualities through effective decision making
Qualification & Experience:
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, appropriate clothing, ear plugs, fall protection, etc.) as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs Working Conditions:
- Office and field environment – could require walking, hiking, light lifting, infrequent climbing, and occasionally being exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or noise.
