Job Description:
As the Assistant Director of the Knowledge and Research Program, you will work with a motivated, national team of knowledge and research professionals providing expert research services and tools in support of key internal clients to enhance their effectiveness in their roles and program delivery. As the responsible authority for all published information, electronic tax, legal and business research resources and commercial databases for the Agency, you are responsible for managing the KRP Program Office team, managing information product acquisitions and access, administering related contracts and database licenses, managing information delivery systems and facilitating the national delivery of the Program. These include research tools such as the CCH and Carswell tax databases, as well as preferred pricing for print resources from key publishers.
Qualification & Experience:
- Senior management is defined as at the EX-01 level or above.
- Complex issues and files are those that have at least one (1) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, involve or affect many partners or stakeholders, create a precedent, have a major impact on the public or is subject to significant public or media interest.
- Recent and Significant is defined as the experience that would normally be gained with performance of the duties listed above as a major job duty for approximately 12 (twelve) consecutive months within the last three (3) years.
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized postsecondary institution in library science or in library and information science, where another bachelor’s degree was a prerequisite.
