Job Description:
The Client Service Specialist – West Valley City, UT will provide day – to – day support and service delivery to employer clients. Acts as a client – facing resource for these employer groups as they administer their HSA and notional plans through Optum Health Financial Services. Consists of direct client contact via toll – free phone queue and shared team email inbox for small and medium market accounts. Strengthens relationships with employer clients (not individual members) and serves as a point of contact for overall and day – to – day service delivery. Represents client internally and coordinates with other functional areas to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. This function includes employees who are in on – site service roles. Jobs in this function may work closely with the Relationship team on organic growth opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be detail – oriented and demonstrate strong analytical and problem – solving skills that comply with operational policies and procedures
- Proactively address and communicate issues which could affect other employer groups
- Act as a resource for others; the Client Service Specialist must be able to educate both internal and external customers on the correct approach to resolving issues and encourage best practice options
- Effectively work in a cooperative, team environment; daily tasks require the Client Service Specialist to quickly identify and resolve client issues, owning requests and issues through completion
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions while working closely with internal and external clients to ensure prompt and accurate results
- Remain self – motivated with an aggressive attitude and creative drive; the Client Service Specialist must employ problem solving techniques on a daily basis and also have the ability to communicate escalated issues appropriately to supervisors, management and internal partners
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Communicate clearly through both verbal and written dialogue while maintaining a professional, cheerful, and patient tone
- Deliver in – depth information to employer groups regarding product education, account set – up, account funding, and other day – to – day aspects of HSA and notional plans
- Experience in the banking industry
- Experience with notional plans (FSA, DCA, HRA, etc.)
Qualification & Experience:
- 2+ years experience customer service experience
- Experience with H.S.A. (Health Savings Account) plans
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher)
