In accordance with Personnel Rule 4310.4, the Fresno County Clerk – Elections Office is offering an exciting career opportunity for experienced and motivated professionals interested in becoming the next Assistant County Clerk/Registrar of Voters.
Job Responsibilities:
- The County Clerk – Elections, under the administration of an elected County Clerk, conducts elections; registers voters for all county, state, and federal elections; provides election services; issues marriage licenses and passport applications; files Fictitious Business Name Statements, maintains the County Records Management Program; and performs other related non-judicial public services. In addition, the County Clerk serves as Registrar of Voters for the County of Fresno.
Job Requirements:
- The Assistant County Clerk/Registrar of Voters, reporting to the County Clerk, works collaboratively as a key member of the administrative team to determine policy, develop programs and formulate operational objectives in accordance with federal, state and local ordinances, policies and procedural guidelines.
- In conjunction with this role, the Assistant County Clerk/Registrar of Voters analyzes, researches, and interprets new legislation to department staff, other agencies and the general public; represents the County in meetings with the media, community agencies and public groups; coordinates the planning and development of data processing and information technology programs; and is responsible for supervising and developing subordinate staff.
