Job Responsibilities:
- Develop SME capabilities in required OSIsoft data structures and software (PI, AssetFrame work, Event Frames, etc.)
- Stay current with innovative technology differentiating between hype and true value with the technical knowledge to operationalize.
- Create process control system upgrade road maps
- Provide support for advanced process control, HMI, SCADA, and DCS
- Research, select, and coordinate installation of instrumentation to close data gaps
- Collaborate on design process control system and network architecture to accommodate additional instrumentation and IOT devices
- Configure process controls to provide required data (including Honeywell Experion PKS and Rockwell Automaton PLC)
- Develop SME capabilities in OSIsoft PI and Ignition data streaming architecture
Job Requirements:
- Travel to participate in field work at manufacturing sites
- Stay informed with data challenges and required mitigations
- Work independently or as part of a team to create and execute DPO strategies
- Interface between analytics, engineering, and operations resources
- Share best practices and standards across the Manufacturing Operations and IT community
- Deliver division and/or site level support for process control systems
Qualification & Experience:
- Working knowledge of IT technology (I.E.- Firewalls, Server OS’s, Client OS’s, networking, patching, anti-virus)
- Experience working in a consultative and cooperative manner with multiple stakeholders, such as analytics, corporate engineering, site process control engineers, and IT resources.
- Experience with project management work flow
- Experience with digital bus communication requiring Ethernet, Profibus DP, Profibus PA, ASI bus, Foundation Fieldbus, Modbus, and DeviceNet.
- Experience with Process Safety Management, Functional Safety and lifecycle management of Safety Instrumented Systems
- Experience using Honeywell Experion Batch or Total Plant Batch, Honeywell Safety Manager, and Rockwell Automation ControlLogix/Compact® Logix PLC’s
- Experience migrating software and hardware or modernizing legacy process control systems
- System integration from concept to implementation
