Job Description:

CEVA Logistics – North America is hiring a Senior Vice President-Human Resources for the Houston, TX location reporting to the North America Regional Managing Director. The SVP of HR will be a key player on the North America senior management team in developing and executing regional and global strategies. This role will oversee the HR function for North America; define HR policy and develop and deliver HR programs that support the organization’s regional and global initiatives. Provide overall strategic HR leadership for North America and all divisions within. Responsible for all aspects of human resources including Talent Management/Succession Planning, Diversity Initiatives, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Change Management and Employee Relations. Remain current on laws, regulations, and plan design trends, ensuring that the organization’s policies and programs conform to laws and are competitive. The SVP HR will focus on sustaining culture and developing relationships while becoming a resource to each business unit head.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as member for the North America Board, leading and influencing a team of human resource professionals, business leaders and senior executives regarding personnel issues that affect performance, business relationships and strategy.
  • Responsible for formulating strategic initiatives and executing plans, aligned with the organization’s objectives within a high performance culture, this position requires flexibility and adaptability to manage and execute within changing environments and priorities while supporting the cultural values and vision of the organization.
  • Remain current on laws, regulations, and plan design trends, ensuring that the organization’s policies and programs conform to laws and are competitive.
  • Foster a workplace environment consistent with CEVA values and mission outlined by the company, by translating the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans while establishing credibility throughout the organization.
  • Lead the development of metrics based on the HR function that will guide and influence leadership in measuring and managing organizational performance while advising the Americas President and executive team on organizational design, change management and aligning the workforce to with company goals.
  • Establishes and maintains long term networking relationships and centers of influence through active involvement and participation in business, social, community and political arenas, boards, or activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to influence in the areas of compensation, succession planning, organizational design, and development, change management, training and development, recruitment, performance management, benefits, employee relations, and HR information systems.

  • CEVA global HR strategy as well as key HR decisions at global level. Function has a dotted line reporting relationship to
  • CHRO and will work closely together with global functional leaders in HR.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable about innovative approaches to managing human capital required.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage and salary laws and regulations and ability to interpret and advise on the application of EEO/AA laws required.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive matters with objectivity and discretion with high personal standard of integrity with objectivity and discretion with high personal standard of integrity required.
  • Financial acumen regarding managing budgets, cost projections and metrics required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to complete special projects, plan and coordinate many projects simultaneously and other duties as assigned.
  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality required.
  • Specialized degree in Human Resource Administration and/or professional certification by the Society for Human
  • Resources Management preferred.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar course of study required / Master Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in human resources management or related experience required; 5 years in senior management roles required, and 5 years industry (Transportation/Supply Chain/Logistics industry) experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation and management of collective bargaining agreements and alternative dispute resolution processes required.
