Job Description:

This position manages the operation of the Park Services department, ensuring efficient and effective department operations of both in-park, and facility services. This position is responsible for overall cleanliness for the property including but not limited to midways, restrooms, laundry facilities, and parking lots. Oversees and manages all ordering, purchasing, and budgeting of all janitorial supplies and equipment. Manages and supervises the work of seasonal associates to achieve departmental service, quality and financial goals. Performs related administrative, supervisory, analytical and professional tasks as required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Acts as the liaison between departments and offers assistance when planning special events, meetings, or contracting outside services for large scale cleaning projects
  • Oversees the inventory and ordering system for products supplied to the park by the Park Services Department
  • Oversees specialized cleanliness projects such as pressure washing and floor service
  • Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to guest service in all aspects of employment
  • Oversees the planning and organizing of department daily operation to meet operational needs, including but not limited to acting as the Department on Duty. Gain an understanding all areas in the Operations Division (Admissions, Ride Opeations and Aquatics)
  • Recruits, hires, and trains seasonal associates to maintain optimal staffing levels throughout the operating season and within budget
  • Supervises subordinate seasonal management staff; supervisory duties include, instructing, assigning, reviewing and planning work of others; maintaining standards; coordinating activities; allocating personnel; selecting new associates; acting on associate problems; motivating associates; recommending and approving associate promotions, transfers and discipline, and recommending discharge

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in developing high impact trainings for hourly employees
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity of spreadsheets and word processing
  • 2-4 years leadeship experience

Qualification & Experience:

  • Must have effective interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills, especially for dealing with the public and managing a large teams
  • Excellent analytical and planning skills. Attention to detail
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays to meet business needs
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
  • Ability to pass a mandatory or random drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
