Job Description:
Cedar Fair Entertainment is seeking an Engineer, Infrastructure for our Corporate office in Charlotte, NC (will consider Richmond, VA or Cincinnati, OH as well). The Engineer, Infrastructure will report to the Corporate VP, Infrastructure, Operations and Security. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for implementing and supporting information systems to support the enterprise infrastructure of Cedar Fair. Responsible to ensure all systems are working at optimal levels and support the development of new technologies and system requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other engineers, system administrators, software developers, users and management to select appropriate design solutions to ensure the compatibility of system components and enhanced efficiency.
- Storage Management, including both local storage hardware and cloud storage systems
- Creates and maintains documentation on systems, process flows. Develops daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual audits, checklists and preventive measures as needed.
- Assist in the design and review process for new systems. Assist with documenting the proposed technical design for integration and implementation of systems and technologies across the enterprise.
- Capacity planning for infrastructure components to forecast future computing needs.
- Communicate effectively with diverse teams across the company, internal divisions and external vendors on support updates, and project planning
- Maintaining the infrastructure required for optimal uptime of servers and the network communications to ensure optimal operations across the enterprise.
Job Requirements:
- Associates degree / vocational or technical school degree. IT Professional Certifications
- Associate will assist in supporting projects and initiatives at all of Cedar Fair’s properties.
- Associate will be part of the Corporate IT Operations and Security Team consisting of 10 other members and work closely with the Infrastructure Architect.
Qualification & Experience:
- Microsoft Technologies to include Active Directory, SQL, Client/Server, GPO, PowerShell, Office 365, Amazon Web Services, Azure
- Infrastructure. Advanced knowledge: TCP/IP, routing protocols, firewalls, load balancers, storage area networks, and virtualization technologies.
- 4 – 6 years’ work-related experience required
- Travel Required: 5%-10%
