Cedar Fair Internships – Food and Beverage Director

Job Description:

Dorney Park is seeking an experienced leader to direct and oversee all aspects of the food and beverage planning and service, with duties to include menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Plans, coordinates, and oversees special events. This leader will be responsible for the overall day to day operations of in-park Food and Beverage operations, including monitoring and measuring achievement of stated budgetary goals and managing full-time staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinates cash control oversight to include over/shorts, loss prevention and daily sales reconciliation
• Ensures the practice of corporate and divisional policies and procedures are maintained at all times
• Equipment and food services facilities maintained in conjunction with the Dorney Park Maintenance department
• Motivates management and employees to achieve excellence in individual performance
• Maintains effective communication with all employees and staff members
• Directs the planning and development within the division for all capital projects
• Provides assistance and guidance to leadership team and associates
• Ensures all local, state, and federal regulations for food service operations are effectively being carried out in all kitchen facilities in conjunction with department managers
• Coordinates food service operations with department managers–coordinates training and personnel development with area manager of office administration
• Ensures all food quality standards are consistently in multiple food locations
• Ensures all financial and budgetary goals are achieved

Job Requirements:

• Passionate about creating an exceptional guest experience like no other
• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field
• At least 3 years, director level related experience in multi-unit, high volume food and beverage operations

Qualification & Experience:

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
• Global Strategic and critical thinking to exceed business results
• Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
