Cedar Fair Internships – Electrician

Job Description:

Install, inspect, maintain and perform electrical maintenance and repairs of park rides, facilities, and other electrical installations on park grounds.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures that Maintenance Department and Park policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Keeps abreast of current trends and practices in field of expertise.
• Ability to properly use safety equipment / PPE (i.e. harnesses and lanyards, safety glasses, etc.).
• Assists and / or performs duties of Ride Operators as necessary.
• initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
• Responsible for completing electrical related assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner. Keep Foreman up to date on the status of all work assignments.
• Assists rides and safety personnel as needed with electrical issues on rides and other equipment during ride evacuations.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to interpret drawings and schematics in troubleshooting electrical equipment.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to work independently with direct supervision.
• Ability to effectively diagnose electrical equipment and make necessary repairs.
• Ability to anticipate, prepare, and plan ahead.
• Small set of hand tools and Steel Toed Safety Shoes are required.

Qualification & Experience:

• Ability to speak and understand English at a level sufficient to comprehend basic instructions from supervisors; conduct basic interactions with other employees; and answer simple questions.
• Ability to work with other people.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV,
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
