Job Description:

The Compensation Analyst assists with base pay and variable pay plans administration, provides support for sales compensation and executive compensation programs, participates in salary surveys, performs data analyses and prepares reports, and helps ensure internal equity and market competitiveness across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in responding to compensation surveys, analyze results, identify trends, and prepare recommendations.
  • Assist with the design, development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs.
  • Support annual compensation planning and implementation of the annual compensation review cycle.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners in the development of job descriptions that accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
  • Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt.
  • Ensure external competitiveness and internal equity, while adhering to the company’s compensation philosophy.
  • Perform data analyses, conduct cost analyses, and prepare reports.
  • Conduct market pay analyses and internal compensation analyses for use in job evaluations, salary recommendations for new hires and promotions, and ad hoc requests.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills. Exceptional ability to deliver high quality and accurate work.
  • Three years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build pivot tables and create formulas including V-Lookup and conditional statements.
  • Three years of experience as a financial analyst or human resources specialist is highly preferred but not required.
  • Effective communication skills.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Strong ethics.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to managers across the organization in multi-states and locations.
  • Working understanding of basic compensation theory and local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to compensation is highly preferred but not required.
  • Good organization skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, work independently, and follow through on tasks reliably and timely.
