Cedar Fair Internships – Benefits Manager

Job Description:

Cedar Fair Entertainment is seeking a Benefits Manager at the Charlotte, NC office. The Benefits Manager, reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing benefits programs, policies and procedures. The Benefits Manager manages the day-to-day administration of benefit plans company wide. The Benefits Manager liaises with benefit third party administrators and manages associates on the Corporate Benefits team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute the modification of benefit programs.
• Liaise with benefit vendors and third-party administrators, negotiating contracts and rates that ensure programs remain competitive and cost-effective.
• Review benefits programs and plan design making recommendations to management to ensure benefits offerings remain competitive and attractive to associates.
• Advise and consult with leadership on plan design, regulatory compliance, trends, and best practices.
• Develop communication around benefits programs, annual open enrollment, policies, and procedures.
• Review and analyze internal needs, external benefits market, trends, and best practices. Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations ensuring benefit programs remain in compliance.
• Plan and direct the implementation and administration of benefits programs for the company serving as trusted advisor on design and strategy, ensuring that programs are competitive and in alignment with strategic objectives.

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of leadership experience managing a team
• Bachelor’s Degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualification & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience managing leave and benefit programs across multiple states
• Benefits related certification such as CEBS, PHR or SHRM-CP, preferred
• Experience with 401k compliance, audits, and vendor management
