Job Description:

Provides leadership and management to the seasonal communications and security staff; ensures compliance of park and departmental policies and procedures; assumes the role of department trainer and maintains all training record for seasonal security associates to include MOAB, PPC&D Control & Defense, OCAT, PATH, PPBT, Security Access Training, Report Writing, and General Security; maintains a well-trained staff to enhance the guest experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides first responder emergency assistance for fire, first aid and other emergencies; arrives to assess, resolve, and contain situations and takes appropriate action based upon policies and training; takes a proactive stance in regard to preventing safety and security incidents.
  • Completes incident, witness, patrol reports and other related paperwork; keeps management informed of all situations, complaints, and incidents; ensures completion of all departmental paperwork; performs departmental data entry and email functions; testifies in court as required.
  • Assists with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training Security associates; maintains and supervises all scheduling and daily staffing levels; maintains a working knowledge of the park and Security department’s daily operation; provides optimal communications within the department, between departments, and in emergency situations.
  • Monitors and prevents unauthorized entry into the park; assists with security planning and supervisions of special events; observes and checks departing personnel and vehicles to guard against property loss; performs walk-throughs and handheld metal detection functions to help prevent weapons or prohibited items from entering the park.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Position requires the ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Driver’s License
