Job Description:

Cedar Fair Entertainment is seeking a Manager, Database Administration in our Corporate Office in Charlotte, NC. The Manager, Database Administrator will manage all aspects of Cedar Fair’s Database Server and data platforms. Responsibilities include data server maintenance, data security, and database design. Responsible for overseeing data transformation, data application integrations, and all data access. Responsible for supervising and overseeing the daily work-flow of the Database Admin team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise Cedar Fair Data Analyst helping review query structure and supplying transformed data sets.
• Manage security access to all data servers and individual databases.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures related to data security and integrity.
• Manage the optimization efforts of data querying, recommending solutions and best practices.
• Responsible for all Cedar Fair database servers, data access, and data structure design.
• Position is responsible for overseeing all data access.
• Manage and monitoring all Cedar Fair data servers. Identifies, defines, and assesses the properties and specifications necessary for the database management system to meet current and future needs of the organization.
• Assesses current and projected database performance and recommends changes and enhancements.
• Review and approve all database design changes.
• Resolves data conflicts for matters such as naming conventions, data privacy and data ownership.
• Work with third party vendors managing data access.

Job Requirements:

• 5 or more years’ experience in database server maintenance.
• Bachelor’s Degree – Information Systems.
• 4 – 6 years of total relevant work experience

Qualification & Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Database Maintenance & Design
• Travel – 5%
• 3-5 years leadership experience with direct reports
• Expert knowledge in TSQL, query optimization, ETL techniques, and data server security
