Job Description:

As a Supply Chain Associate at Caterpillar, you will perform a variety of functions to check, receive, and verify accuracy of part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs housekeeping functions as required.
• Operates handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
• Reports defects and need for repairs.
• Utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes
• Safely perform the material handling and storeroom functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials equipment and supplies.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Minimum 3 months warehouse experience and/or certified logistics warehouse training.
• Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to perform a variety of clerical functions and do basic math
• Ability to read/write and interpret documents
• Successfully pass all pre-employment screens
• Warehouse experience specific to the Caterpillar Atlanta Distribution Center
• Computer skills (intermediate level – basic skills/knowledge, capable of functioning independently)
