Job Description: Performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks and carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. Job Responsibilities: Provides support to the Senior Calibration Technician in coordinating internal and external (vendor) calibration of equipment. Takes direction/instruction/training and assignments from the Senior Calibration Technician, as responsibilities are appointed by manager. Performs equipment calibration and repairs according to approved written procedures. Maintains the calibration database and all required records. Experience with Blue Mountain Software is preferred. Identifies and records out-of-tolerance conditions and assists with root cause investigations, product impact assessments, and equipment validation activities, as required. Works with QA, manufacturing, engineering, and other department personnel, as necessary, to support quality and business objectives. Maintains calibration laboratory to meet 5S requirements and supports ongoing continuous improvement efforts. Performs equipment inventories, as assigned. Monitors equipment status and identification in production, R&D and other areas, performs production area walk through verifications for ESD and equipment compliance to specified requirements. Coordinates equipment final dispositions with other departments and/or outside sources. Data entry for calibration certifications and data, review of calibration records for completeness and accuracy, filing, maintenance and archiving of calibration records. Trains employees on equipment controls, database operation, ESD compliance, or other job related systems. May coordinate employee testing on training materials. Assumes and performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Basic understanding of general job aspects and limited understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. Acquires job skills and learns the policies and procedures required to complete routine tasks. Qualification & Experience: Minimum 1-2 years related experience and/or training. Must be able to work flexible hours; including possible rotating schedules that may include early morning or evening hours, holidays and weekends.
