Job Description:
This individual will play a key role in developing and executing a roadmap to deliver new and differentiated ways of shopping on web and app – including social shopping, personal style, and customer engagement digital products. Strong candidates should possess a proven track record of delivery, working with and influencing senior executives in a cross-functional context, and using data to drive decision-making. The Principal Product Manager will draw on his/her experience to build relationships and lead the development of key strategic initiatives. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Product Management – Differentiated Experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coaches other product managers and acts as a thought leader to the digital product leadership team
- Partners closely with engineering on concepts, architecture, development and maintenance of product portfolio
- Structures customer research in partnership with insights & research teams
- Combines a strong understanding of customer needs with an equally deep understanding of business goals to champion solutions that deliver value for macys.com
- Accountable for the financial impact and customer experience of the products produced, using analysis to measure the results of feature deployments to quantify the business benefit/impact, and identify further business opportunities or recommendations of product evolution
- Leads an agile pod including developers, designers, and analysts through agile development: including agile ceremonies, writing stories/acceptance criteria, maintaining backlogs, etc.
- Leads the development of features and functionality for key strategic initiatives, including the identification of business opportunities, requirements definition, project implementation and evaluation
- Socializes opportunity assessments, driving to alignment among the highest level of leadership in the organization
- Autonomously leads and motivates multiple cross-functional teams throughout the entire life cycle of product development, including deployment and post-deployment
- If necessary, coordinates with outside vendors and partners to ensure their work is delivered on time and on scope

Qualification & Experience:
- 8 to 10 years product management experience with a proven track record of leading products of significant scale and complexity
- Education/Experience: BA/BS required
