Job Responsibilities:
- Perform account reconciliations and prepare and post journal entries
- Cross-train to develop a more well-rounded knowledge of the Finance/Accounting department
- Use an automated accounting system (SAP)
- Work closely with other departments to develop best practices for all areas of accounting
- Support and process closing and reporting functions for multiple parks, including non-park entities
- Work on various other projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast paced work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting or 4 years work experience in related field
- 1 year accounting or finance experience preferred
- Ability to perform entry level accounting procedures
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Qualification & Experience:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, financial and mathematical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills to ensure quality of work meets expected quality standards
- Team-oriented and able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization
- Proven ability to redesign processes to improve efficiency and/or accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with SAP preferred but not required
