Job Description:

The ever-increasing volume and variety of data available, means we need faster and more robust data management capabilities to allow us to understand and use our information across Openreach. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive Data Management Framework and toolkit that will encompass business information model management, master and reference data management to help us ensure the data we collect and use across the business is fit for purpose. We need a common vocabulary for sharing and use information along with mastering our most critical data assets as master and reference data, which will enable us to meet our legal, regulatory and business demands for quality information. Data Management in Openreach must evolve to accommodate new native technologies like cloud and cognitive, and as we move further into an agile development and delivery model, it has to provide the fitness functions, patterns and models that will empower the business through Citizen Development models.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and contribute to the organisation’s vision, goals, opportunities and related activities
• Establish a framework model for EIM, Master Data Management and Reference Data Management.
• Define and develop a wide Enterprise Information Management strategy working with the various business units in Openreach.
• Ensure compliance to Legal, Regulatory and Security requirements
• Responsible for consistency to data standards, best practice and development of patterns/policies for re-use.
• Ensure peers and Solution Architect community is fully aware of the latest data strategy
• Establish standards, policies and procedures as needed for managing information as an asset.
• Ensure that Data Architecture, methods, technology standards and best practices are maintained
• Work with an innovation community across to develop an awareness of, and learn the potential and maturity of, technology innovation for Openreach.

Qualification & Experience:

• Multi-sector experience delivering Integration solutions
• Experience of developing enterprise data management, master data management and quality strategies which including horizon scanning, best practice, and clear roadmaps to delivery.
• Experience of enterprise information management models, patterns, techniques and approaches.
• Clear experience of Data Architecture in multiple business sectors; with significant experience of Enterprise Information Management
• Full understanding of “as a Service” models, patterns and ways of working
• Experience across multiple sectors defining and delivering comprehensive data management solutions.
• Established external partner network especially with the key Data Technology vendors
• Experience of defining how data should be managed across an enterprise business
• Service Design Methods, Approaches and Ways of Working
• Stakeholder management at senior levels
