Job Responsibilities:

• You will direct, lead and drive the inclusion of safety into all aspects of the warehouse business plan to ensure the work place meets all safety expectations.
• Actively support the occupational health programs to reduce costs and proactive manage safety and reduce risk to the employees, contractors, vendors and the business.
• Drive and implement corporate safety vision and strategy while creating specific KPI metrics to drive improvements in manufacturing and warehouse performance of proactively reducing injuries, illnesses and risk to the company.

Job Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of fire protection systems, fall protection systems and act as “competent person” for the distribution organization.
• Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma and/or other tool for evaluating the work environment for improvements
• Advanced knowledge of US state and federal OSHA laws and regulations
• Advanced knowledge of machine safety, electrical and chemical safety and industrial hygiene
• Advanced knowledge of workers compensation laws and return to work programs,

Qualification & Experience:

• 10 years previous Occupational Health & Safety experience in Distribution, Warehousing and/or Logistics or similar environment preferably in a corporate or regional role, Required
• Experience with implementation of industrial ergonomic principles
• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety or related field or equivalent work experience, Required
