Job Description:

Reporting to the General Manager, Cargo Network Control, the Manager, Cargo Network Control’s primary responsibility is to ensure the successful execution of Cargo and Customer commitment on the day of flight through interaction with all operational and Cargo Commercial teams while respecting corporate safety, customer service, and branch objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tactical Flight watch of aircraft fin assignments/maintenance deviation applicable to all Cargo critical flights.
  • Monitor and communicate irregular operations and weather, system wide – Coordinate contingencies based on input from SOC/Local station abilities.
  • Work with local stations, Cargo Customer Service and Cargo Capacity Management resources on recovery process in the event of mishandling
  • Manage AOG bookings – Assisting AC Stores and Maintenance Control with on/offline AOG logistics
  • Manage the Surface/Road Feeder network, including ADHOC requirements and contracted charter operations.
  • Support Emergency management as outlined in Publication 400.
  • In conjunction with Unilode Aerospace, support ULD management and logistics
  • Work with local station Cargo planners to maximize uplift on critical flights.
  • In conjunction with Capacity Management establish cargo priority in insufficient uplift
  • Ensure effective intra-branch communication for day of flight schedule and fleet concerns.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership qualities and abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of operating Branches, including responsibilities and procedures of each.
  • Knowledge of automation; personal computer skills an asset.”
  • Capable of working in a subjective environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt easily to constantly changing situations, confidence to make quick, effective decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven proactive problem-solving capabilities in team environment.
  • Goal oriented with positive and creative approach for problem solving.
