Job Description:

The Operations Supervisor is a member of the Operation’s management team within the Distribution Center. They are responsible for leading and developing their own team of operations associates with a focus on motivating, mentoring, and coaching. They are accountable for engaging their team during a shift to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. This role requires strong leadership, the ability to address challenges and the desire to equip their team with the tools needed for success. The Operations Supervisor will ensure that daily departmental goals are met using a people-first philosophy to achieve established objectives in safety, service, quality, and cost.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources
  • Track employee attendance, evaluate employee performance, and deliver feedback as needed/required
  • Train, manage, and develop all Operations associates
  • Report on operations metrics to evaluate functional area performance in productivity, quality, and safety
  • Create a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on internal/external customer satisfaction
  • Manage specific functional area in Operations and be accountable for achieving all productivity and quality targets
  • Maintain full working knowledge of the timekeeping system (Kronos), performance/labor management system (GoalPost) and WMS (MARC) platforms
  • Manage the collection, reporting and feedback regarding operations functions using GoalPost, SAP, Excel, queries and WMS reporting
  • Operations Management Team
  • Maintain all OSHA safety standards including all reporting of accidents, injuries, damages, and potential risks to safetyKey Relationships:

Job Requirements:

  • Regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to ten (12) hours/day
  • The job requires extensive walking and standing on hard surfaces
  • Occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
  • Ability to work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)
  • Proficient analytical and data manipulation skills. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to effectively and efficiently interact with associates and management team.
  • Experience operating in high-volume distribution operations.
  • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills

Qualification & Experience:

  • Supervisory/leadership experience in leading teams of 10 or more
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in distribution/warehouse operations
  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
