Job Description: The Administrative Director for Clinical, Wellness, Research and Technology reports to the Home Base Chief Administrative, Financial and Education Officer. This individual serves as a key member of the leadership team at Home Base providing key oversight, management and strategic vision planning across all clinical, wellness, research and technology program areas to ensure the mission of the program is fulfilled and strategic initiatives, goals and reporting are met in a timely and synchronous manner. This role holds responsibility for the on-the-ground interface between clinical data tracking, grant deliverable tracking, and clinical staffing and operations. Strong quantitative and clinical operations knowledge is key to success in the role. The AD will be responsible to work with the clinical, wellness, research, administrative and data teams to ensure that transparency and visibility is achieved regarding how the program is tracking against strategic program and data priorities. Reporting to the Chief Administrative, Financial and Education Officer, the AD will also work closely with the COO, Chief Medical Director, and all Clinical, Wellness, Research and data leadership including the Co-Directors for the Intensive Clinical Programs (two-week, weekend and 4-day intensives for PTSD and TBI), and Co-Directors for the Outpatient Regional Clinic (which includes the regional outpatient services as well as the SOAR Substance Use and Weekend Intensive programs) and all new or developing clinical programs. This individual is responsible for oversight of the clinical operations at the National Center of Excellence including compliance with all hospital and JCAHO regulations and will also work closely with hospital leadership to align with MGH Department expectations, priorities and goals. Job Responsibilities: Oversee administration of Home Base clinical programs including Outpatient Clinic (which includes a Weekend IOP and Substance Use SOAR IOP), Intensive Clinical Program, 4-day TBI ICP, TAPS ICP, including supervision of three Administrative Managers (noted above); Work closely with the Home Base clinical and administrative leadership team and reporting regularly into and as a member of the senior leadership team; Provide key strategic planning assessment, recommendation, and implementation for program areas to achieve Home Base’s strategic priorities and allow for proactive innovation of staffing and resources. Meet regularly with clinical leaders for the clinical programs and associated administrative staff to review budgets, revenue, billing, and practice operations. Identify opportunities to optimize billing potential and develop reporting mechanisms to keep track of progress. Importantly, maintaining regular communication and providing updates to the Chief Administrative, Financial and Education Officer. Work with practice leadership to determine staffing needs across all clinical program, research and data/IT teams. With support from the Administrative Managers and Director of Business Analytics, oversee the outpatient productivity tracking system and to implement any policies or procedures to ensure that the investment in personnel is fully utilized and program needs are met. Coordinate with the Chief Medical Director and clinical directors for all services on salary and productivity issues. Escalate issues relating to recurring clinician documentation issues to outpatient department executive team and ensure regular intervals for compliance training are scheduled across practices Oversee clinical practice personnel issues, including final approval of the hiring of new clinical support staff and the initiation of corrective action process, where applicable Conduct analyses on clinical space utilization across practices and other initiatives to improve patient access Conceptualize and perform a variety of financial analyses, including new program business plans, spending projections, etc. Job Requirements: Serve as lead administrator for Epic-related issues and optimization efforts. Oversee the expansion and refinement of the Home Base Virtual Visits/Telehealth program, including identifying new payment/reimbursement models and business development opportunities Work closely with COO and Home Base Senior Finance Manager and Dept of Psychiatry Finance Director to expand Home Base models of care to other communities in the United States (e.g. SWFL) and in allied international countries (e.g. Great Britain) Provide status reports to Chief Administrative, Financial and Education Officer and Chief Medical Director on key performance measures across programs and raise issues of concern in order to solicit input on solutions Provide analytics support on various clinical operations/quality improvement projects Keep an inventory of embedded relationships within external departments and key operational staffing needs to various support models Develop and mentor junior administrative departmental staff Qualification & Experience: Mission-driven Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field; 7-10+ years of managerial or executive level experience; Clinical and/or clinical Operations experience in an academic medical center or military healthcare facility preferred (Masters level, PhD); Experience with healthcare data in clinical practice environment combined with strong comfort level with integration reporting and practice data Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills; Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management and managing teams, both clinical and non-clinical; Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments; High degree of initiative and independent judgment; Flexible, highly organized and thoughtful, in a fast paced, complex teaching hospital environment; Strong computer skills and knowledge of office practice applications (Excel, Powerpoint) and clinical and billing data systems; experience with program management productivity tools (Smartsheet, Taleo, Peoplesoft) Experience as a member of the United States Armed Forces a bonus Job Details: Company: Massachusetts General Hospital Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Charlestown, MA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
