Job Description:

Leads the team responsible for TVA’s cloud infrastructure and processes regarding automation and DevOps. Responsible for overseeing the health, operation, and reliability of TVA’s cloud tenants as well as driving and developing vision, processes, and standards that govern automation across TVA. Provides direction and leadership for a team focused on innovation, process improvement, and cloud technologies. Develops team chemistry and culture that promotes collaborative work environment and helps employees strive to complete tasks. Provides feedback and direction to employees to improve their professional and personal development. Understands and moves team forward in new technology and processes to provide the best value to TVA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performing procurement and materials management functions as required by organization including following contractual agreements, requisitioning and receiving goods and services.
  • Serving as organizational representative/contact for office and personal communication equipment (copiers, fax machines, pagers, and cellular phones, telecommunications equipment, etc.).
  • Independently performs assignments with instructions as to general results expected. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems.

  • Ensuring/coordinating entry of required data/schedules into various information and business reporting systems.
  • Ensuring proper classification, storage, retention, and disposal of organizational records.
  • Formatting and retrieving standard and non-standard reports from various business systems. Identifies and resolves discrepancies found in data used to make business decisions.
  • Providing orientation or training in assigned functional areas.
  • Serving as the coordination point for activities supporting the full range of work in assigned functional areas.
  •  May coordinate assigned work activities for the first two levels of work.

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of technology, including tools and processes, resource management, and engineering. Strong facilitation, negotiation, and intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to lead and influence teams in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while dealing diplomatically with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and concerns.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing tactical details.
  • Must have a unique blend of technical experience and knowledge, exceptional communication, leadership acumen, and problem-solving skills.
  • Candidate is be required to obtain and maintain a sensitive security clearance.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education — A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science or comparable field of study; or equivalent education, training & experience.
  • Experience — Five or more years of comprehensive experience with progressive assignment ins leadership, engineering, and budgeting. Demonstrated knowledge of transformation impact, change management, and business metrics. Several years of demonstrated, significant technical experience in core enterprise infrastructure information technology areas.
