Job Description: The Senior Industrial Engineer applies technical methods and discipline, and provides business and customer expertise, to recommend and devise efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials and information to deliver a moderate/complex product, process or system. This person should have industry intelligence to provide creative solutions for automation to further simplify work flows and operations. Job Responsibilities: Time and motion studies, approves labor standards, and develops and applies key insights to improve efficiencies Uses data to translate into continuous improvement ideas, cost/benefit analysis and change initiatives for moderately scoped projects Moderately-versed in new technology solutions for material handling and systems Creates requirements that form cohesive plans Ideation of alternatives for process, equipment and system design to optimize end-to-end solutions Champions and leads Standard Work efforts Works with product management, operation and other business partners to deliver data driven processes and solutions Benchmark studies, builds business cases, and recommends new technologies Delivery of moderately complex solutions Job Requirements: Ability to travel - estimated 25% Demonstrated track record of making recommendations that enable the business to achieve goals Drives collaboration across teams and capabilities to ensure that the right people with the right knowledge and expertise are involved Strong communication skills utilizing fact based and relevant data and communicating clearly and concisely to various audiences across the organization at various levels Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering; Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent preferred Advanced skills in discrete simulation and capacity analysis 7+ years’ Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Experience Job Details: Company: Nordstrom Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Ontario, CA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
