Job Description: As a Starbucks senior data scientist, you will investigate business problems, build data products, uncover insights, and explain discoveries that drive better decisions. On the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Data Science team, you will need to develop strong relationships across the organization and help advance better, data-driven supply chain decisions that drive enterprise value in the form of enhanced service levels, partner time or cost savings, improved customer and partner experience, risk mitigation and business growth. . Job Responsibilities: Mentor data analysts & data scientists to support them advancing their skills Evaluate unstructured questions from business teams and translate into data problems Utilize systems thinking approach to conceive, plan, and build new data products Ability to work independently and through ambiguous situations to build relevant analytic solutions using quantitative approaches Build relationships with a wide-range of business partners and establish yourself and the team as subject matter experts in supply chain analytics Lead data science solutions from beginning to end Drive adoption of data products and insights across business teams by visualizing results and crafting effective communications to share discoveries Strong presentation skills to be able to share insights and recommendations at an executive leadership level and also more detailed technical reviews with the analytics community Apply machine learning and statistical knowledge to create optimization models & predictive analyses Job Requirements: Strong problem solving skills with ability to influence business leaders and teams Knowledge of statistical methods & scripting (SQL, Python or R) MS+ with concentration in quantitative discipline - Stats, Math, Comp Sci, Engineering, Econ, or similar discipline Working knowledge of data systems design & data technologies Qualification & Experience: Minimum 5 year’s experience within data analysis field or discipline Operations research and supply chain experience Job Details: Company: Starbucks Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Seattle, WA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
