Job Description: Amgen is seeking a Sr Associate IS Business Systems Analyst who acts as a thought partner and application forward-thinker crafting the Corporate Functions Platforms technology demand among the business community. While working with both business and technology groups to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation, and then to conceptual design from which applications and solutions are developed, the Sr Associate IS Business Systems Analyst shall also lead minor system improvement projects, perform major enhancement or project tasks, and support steady-state operations within the application portfolio. The Sr Associate IS Business Systems Analyst will report to the Senior Manager Information Systems (Hire to Retire IS Service Area Lead) based at Amgen’s Capability Center in Tampa, FL. The Sr Associate IS Business Systems Analyst serves as an internal point of contact for flow of information between team members. They will be a contributor to the success of the Corporate Functions vision to improve end user experience and optimally meet the business needs & compliance. This role will provide exposure to the Amgen’s Corporate Functions Platforms and its internal business clients in the Hire-to-Retire area with strong emphasis in Global Learning technologies. It shall be encouraged that the Sr Associate IS Business Systems Analyst serves as the LMS domain expert for Build and Run services. Job Responsibilities: Partners with IS Architects to deliver major and transformational projects Supports steady-state operations to ensure service level agreements are met Provides day-to-day support to the execution of the Corporate Functions platforms technology roadmap and lifecycle management (LCM) plans Coordinates activities toward implementation of the Corporate Functions Operating Model Works independently, function as a knowledge resource for less experienced colleagues while providing oversight using standard methodologies to improve systems and services Assist in critical issue management Provides domain expertise in Learning technology Partners with Service Owner, peer full-time employees, and lead service provider in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement Drives minor improvement projects based on PMLC/SDLC, collaborating with application development teams Ensures compliant documentation with supporting detail Support and maintain validated state of cGMP/GxP applications Work with upstream data integration source systems and downstream data integration consumers and systems to negotiate all aspects of enhancement work and downstream impact assessment and readiness Develop requirements for new and updated reports based an intimate knowledge of the data structure and the consuming business process Job Requirements: Proven analytical, data-driven problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills High attention to detail and self-directed Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others Master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. Experience with HR systems including Learning technology, time & pay management, Core HR (HCM) and other relevant hire to retire technology.
