Job Description: The Senior Sustainability Manager will support the integration of sustainability practices into UNIQLO and parent company Fast Retailing throughout North America. Reporting to the Global Director of Sustainability, they will work closely in sharing and implementing best practices and global standards at non-UNIQLO brands (including but not limited to Theory); in addition to supporting UNIQLO USA sustainability strategy and execution in partnership with the UNIQLO USA team. This person will also be responsible for enhancing the reputation of FR by actively communicating with stakeholders and participating in industry groups. Job Responsibilities: Support UQUS/UQCA under Director guidance to improve communication process with Global Headquarters in Japan Support the implementation under Director guidance of FR/UQUS directives, new policies, and processes for compliance and reporting Sustainability related research of new technology, process automation, material opportunities (with Silicon Valley team and GHQ) Staying in touch with relevant industry regulations including: trade-related, labeling, waste and recycling laws Work with non-UNIQLO brands to share and implement best practices from UNIQLO and GHQ Work on expansion of RE.UNIQLO concept as a major point of difference for FR with GHQ using local (US, Europe etc.) advances in this area Support Director in the on-going evolution and innovation to FR’s sustainability strategy and vision with GHQ and third party experts as needed Job Requirements: Analyst/consultant at consulting firm Account director/strategic planning at advertising/marketing firm Sustainability specialist at PR/Marketing/Branding company Sustainability Manager at medium to large sized clothing/consumer goods company Manager/director at Sustainability Communications/strategy company, CPG, or think tank (sustainability policy) Strong communication skills including writing, editing and presentation Ability to engage and collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds Proven track record of follow through and strategic planning Creative and passionate towards innovation Demonstrated interest or participation in community engagement Invested interest/strong knowledge with demonstrated engagement towards sustainability Global experience relevant a big plus or demonstrated adaptability Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in sustainability or related sciences and disciplines 5+ years of experience in current role as any of the following or similar to: Job Details: Company: UNIQLO Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: New York City, NY, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
