Job Description: The Supply Chain Associate (SCA) Program is Duke Energy’s premier leadership and Supply Chain development program for innovative college graduates seeking a dynamic career in a variety of Supply Chain (SC) functions at the country’s largest electric power holding company. Job Responsibilities: Maintain effective interfaces with internal and/or external customers and suppliers. Participate in cross functional teams to implement sourcing strategies. Develop understanding and proficiencies of e-procurement tools. Perform data analysis and summary conclusions. Develop requests for quotations and proposals, analyze supplier responses and negotiates, and award contracts and agreements. Plan sourcing strategies. Track market conditions and sources of supply. Job Requirements: Good problem solving/analytical skills. Strong working knowledge of related customer operations. Good planning/organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communications. Strong business and financial expertise. Qualification & Experience: Purchasing and contracting experience. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, or Accounting. A Master's degree. Good project management experience. Certified Purchasing Manager and/or Certified in Production and Inventory Management.
