Job Description: The Production Associate position is an entry-level position that has many advancement opportunities and a starting wage of $17.34/hour with an increase to $18.36/hour after successful completion of a 90-day probation period. These positions work rotating 12-hour shifts; 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am, requiring that interested candidates must be able to work daytime, nighttime, weekend, holiday, and overtime hours. Job Responsibilities: Performing operator care duties and minor maintenance tasks to include but not limited to lubrication duties Working throughout the mill to safely meet production and quality goals Learning multiple operator functions in power and recovery, shipping and receiving, and paper machine areas Performing detailed housekeeping to keep machinery functioning properly and to maintain the appearance of the plant Performing physically demanding tasks that include but are not limited to; using a shovel, rake and water hose Operating mobile equipment Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED One (1) year or more of experience in a farming, carpentry, construction, warehouse, military, production, or manufacturing environment Willing and able to work a twelve (12) hour rotating shift to include days and nights, weekends, holidays and overtime Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours a day Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment Willing and able to work from heights when needed Experience using a computer Qualification & Experience: At least two (2) years of manufacturing or industrial experience Two (2) year technical degree or higher Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Job Details: Company: Georgia Pacific Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Big Island, VA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
