Job Description: The VP of Marketing leads the development and tactical execution for the marketing and sales disciplines for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island. This position requires the ability to develop both short and long term strategic plans designed to increase annual attendance, competitive position, brand distinction and revenue. The VP of Marketing provide effective leadership for the Tampa marketing and sales team. Job Responsibilities: Work closely with the Park Support Marketing team and the Orlando Marketing team to ensure that the performance of all SEA properties is maximized Create and manage department budgets and monthly forecasting covering all areas of the Marketing & Sales division Work with both park and corporate leadership teams to develop and execute strategic plans that include a balanced approach to product growth and increased financial returns Develop successful marketing strategies and plans designed to increase annual attendance, competitive position, brand distinction, and revenue Work closely with the Park Support Marketing team to drive both domestic and international tourism Create a positive culture, which includes motivating, educating, and positively recognizing Ambassadors Provide executive-level guidance to the Tampa Marketing and Sales team, and work closely with other stakeholders including the Park President and members of the Senior Leadership Team Monitor metrics and feedback, and course correct as necessary, to ensure proper utilization of resources and reach to consumers. Optimize offerings as well as capital attraction investments Job Requirements: Demonstrated ability to simplify complex business challenges to drive alignment of impacted stakeholders and effective tactical execution Prior work experience in theme park, hospitality or tourism environment is preferred Have at least 10 years of experience in sales or marketing with a minimum of 5 years leading a marketing and/or sales team Qualification & Experience: Have superior analytical aptitude with strong bottom-line orientation Have significant experience in developing and managing complex budgets Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to include very polished, effective presentation ability Have a valid driver’s license and be able to meet company driving guidelines Demonstrated ability to effectively lead public relations, both in pitch and crisis management Position engages in the following physical activities on a frequent basis; stand, walk, sit, simple grasp and fine manipulation tasks.
