Job Description: We are LEGOLAND California Resort - the place where FUN is built and memories are made. Across our Resort we have two fantastic LEGO themed Hotels, a Water Park, a SEA LIFE Aquarium, more than 60 rides and attractions, 20 food and beverage locations, and 14 retail stores – the opportunities here are endless! Job Responsibilities: Notifies Assistant Manager of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed pathways, equipment failure or potential safety hazards. Perform daily inspections to ensure department equipment and vehicles are in good working order. Operate heavy equipment, such as light duty trucks, trailers, trash compactors, balers, forklifts, etc. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by sweeping, cleaning equipment, reporting hazards, etc. Perform daily rounds of collection, segregation, and disposal of solid waste and recyclable material. Works closely with Assistant Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices. Identifies and reports all containers or compactors in need of repair or replacement. Notifies Assistant Manager of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage. Job Requirements: Requires excellent verbal English skills. Must be 18 years of age. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to support park operations. Qualification & Experience: Hold a current class C driver’s license, clean driving record and meet California minimum liability car insurance requirements. High school diploma or general education degree (or equivalent education and experience) is required. Legally eligible to work in the United States Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. Experience within the waste management industry, operating heavy equipment such as trucks, single axle trailers, front-end loaders or compactors, forklifts is desired but not required.
