Job Description: As part of the Database Services team, the role is to provide a full range of operating systems administration tasks on all the various flavours of Linux and Unix implemented within Walt Disney International, and supporting any underlying applications that are hosted on those servers. In addition, the role will also assist with database administration support within the team and will provide the opportunity to develop their skills in this area. Job Responsibilities: Managing Red Hat Satellite as a central management tool for the Red Hat estate Providing Systems Administration for all Walt Disney International managed Linux and Unix servers Performing capacity planning on all servers and working closely with the Infrastructure teams in fulfilling the requirements Evaluating new releases of the Operating System and third party products to ensure that the site is running the products that are most appropriate Providing support to the database administrators Providing technical Linux support to the lines of business development teams and IT staff Installing and upgrading new versions of the Operating Systems Working closely with the line of business IT teams and third party suppliers in identifying and resolving performance and connectivity issues Ensuring all Linux environments remain fully patched in adhering to corporate compliance Job Requirements: Experience with one other major Linux or Unix Operating System Experience of Red Hat Enterprise Server Qualification & Experience: Experience of relational database management systems Red Hat Systems Administration certification Desirable Job Details: Company: The Walt Disney Company Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: London, England, United Kingdom Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
