Job Responsibilities: Removing gear from guests after completion of their adventure Maintaining and inspecting all rescue equipment Fitting harness and helmets correctly and supervising the use of all safety equipment Conducting a pre-course safety orientation, (Ground School), for each group of guests Conducting complete inspections of harnesses and helmets Responsible for gear maintenance including washing and sanitizing gear Inspecting all lines and courses for safety Communicating assistance for guests throughout their time on course Assisting with grounds maintenance efforts including restocking water coolers and grounds cleanliness Helping guests prepare for their adventure Job Requirements: High School Diploma or General Education Degree Prior experience with outdoor recreation, athletics, educational roles, high ropes experience, interpretive naturalism, and/or rock climbing is a plus but not required Qualification & Experience: Must pass and complete required site-specific safety training course Have the physical capability to assist and accommodate guests of various sizes and physical ability throughout the grounds and courses Certification in basic First Aid, CPR, and AED a plus but not required Ability to stand for long periods of time Job Details: Company: Wildlife Conservation Society Vacancy Type: Temporary Job Location: New York, NY, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
