Job Description: Responsible for the daily operation of the Rides Department, promoting safety, guest service, cleanliness,quality of training and integrity. Job Responsibilities: Writes and delivers counseling reports (attendance, behavior, etc.) and handles terminations when necessary. Resolves guest and employee concerns. Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, including but not limited to minor labor laws. Responds to all ride emergency situations. Complies and reports information on all incidents with the department. Determines when to open and shut down ride locations and notifies appropriate personnel; regulates the addition and subtraction of ride units. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with other departments. Interviews and makes hiring decisions for the Park Operations Division. Trains all Supervisors and Team Leads. Works closely with Rides Area Supervisors to maintain proper staffing levels by moving employees between departments and locations as necessary. Enforces all department and park policies and procedures. Supervises, develops and conducts performance appraisals for the Rides Area Supervisors. Ensures the accuracy of employee’s time worked and assigns area labor expenses according to department budget guidelines. Job Requirements: Ability to implement and ensure compliance with existing and new policies. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Ability to make sound decisions in high stress situations. Ability to understand the operation of every ride in the park. Ability to pass a basic math assessment. Qualification & Experience: Ability to utilize strong verbal and interpersonal skills and speak effectively to groups of people. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to work alone, with minimal supervision or in a team environment as needed. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state orprovincial law. Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to,credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy,unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
