Job Responsibilities: Interpret veterinary procedures in real-time Facilitate animal and conservation related activities and demonstrations Educate guests about veterinary medicine and conservation Perform other duties as required – may include diet preparation, assisting with camp presentations, cleaning, etc Lead tours of the Animal Care Center facility and promote tour products Serve as a positive role model for internal and external guests by adhering to company standards on wardrobe, conduct, safety, cleanliness, and timeliness at all times Job Requirements: Ability to work in an outdoor environment: high heat, humidity, cold, etc. Working towards a degree or have a degree in Education, Animal Science, Psychology, Zoology or related field preferred but not necessary At least 18 years of age Excellent communication and public speaking skills Valid Driver’s License Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekday and weekend shifts, evenings, and holidays Ability to provide outstanding guest service Ability to work 28 hours a week Qualification & Experience: Prior guest/customer service experience preferred Experience working at a veterinary facility is preferred but not required Ability to practice proper time management when given multiple tasks Basic computer knowledge This position requires walking, standing, bending and overhead reaching Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals Able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
