Job Description: As a Costume Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate, quality construction of all show costumes and character costumes. Additionally, responsible for maintaining the quality of all show costumes Job Responsibilities: Quickly and effectively perform quality costume and drapery alterations Perform a variety of tasks including laundering and maintenance of costumes and props and any other task as assigned by SeaWorld Management Quickly and effectively conduct quality costume, drapery and prop repairs Construct new costumes accurately, effectively and in a timely manner Fabricate costume mockups quickly and effectively Partake in performer costume fittings Job Requirements: Portfolio displaying relevant costume construction work Essential skills/abilities and experience: Organizational skills Degree or extensive technical coursework in costume or apparel construction Accurate and effective knowledge of fabrics, including specific uses, care, color palette selection and texture selection Precise and effective knowledge of fabrics, including specific uses, care, color palette selection, texture selection, an expert in the field Qualification & Experience: Embroidery, Crochet and Second language skills preferred Must work well independently and within a team Position Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts Quality pattern making skills Ability to take accurate performer measurements and conduct costume fittings Ability to take a sketch through to final costume construction Job Details: Company: Busch Garden Vacancy Type: Part Time Job Location: Orlando, FL, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
