Job Description: As a Carpenter you’ll roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and perform all commercial carpentry needs in order to provide a once in a lifetime memory for guests and team members alike. You will: Job Responsibilities: Select proper materials for jobs Perform all functions of general carpentry work for zoo exhibit areas, in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests, employees, and animals. Perform other miscellaneous duties as required Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Experience in drywall installation and repair Cabinet making experience; i.e. cabinet building and framing; fabrications of countertops, and more) Experienced in all phases of concrete work At least 18 years of age Experience with door, fence and gate repair (mechanical and manual) At least three years of onsite experience in the carpentry trade or in the carpentry field Able to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe condition Experience in roof repairs Qualification & Experience: Comfortable working around animals Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours including opening and closing shifts, weekends and holidays.
