Job Description: This role will be responsible for setting the direction and compliance requirements for Day 1 of ScotRail Trains Ltd. You will scope, define, design and develop a compliance regime in line with the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (EIRs). Job Responsibilities: This role will ensure adherence to relevant guidance from the Scottish Information Commissioner for Day 1 of ScotRail Trains Ltd, including the publication of any requirements identified as part of the transition of our organisation to the public sector. Job Requirements: We are looking for an individual with extensive experience of working in the public sector with a particular slant on governance and compliance. You will have experience of designing, implementing, and embedding new policy along with experience of exemptions and writing public interest tests independently. You’ll be a proactive self-starter combined with a clear need to achieve the highest quality outcomes. With excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines; you’ll be organised with strong attention to detail. Qualification & Experience: You will be educated to SCQF Level 9 (SVQ 4/a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification, or recognised certificate relating to the area of expertise) and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role.
