Job Description: The Sr. Continuous Improvement Mgr. is responsible for facilitating and leading continuous improvement projects and initiatives within the operations-transportation department. This position reports to the AVP Transportation or AVP System Ops. Job Responsibilities: Drive a standardized process improvement methodology to drive root cause problem solving and prevent reoccurrence of customer-facing defects. Responsible for leading multiple projects that deliver process improvements and financially contribute to the business. Leads the development, communication, and execution of a plan that is aligned to the company's vision, mission, and goals. Facilitate change and motivate colleagues to practice continuous improvement and waste elimination. Identify, develop, and execute initiatives for cost reduction and process improvements across the division, focusing on safety, financials, and customer service. Job Requirements: Ability to redefine processes to increase effectiveness and use statistics to make data driven decisions. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills with the ability to collaborate with leaders and prioritize multiple project needs 9 years of relevant Transportation or Operations experience required Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio as well as reporting applications. Proven ability to prioritize multiple objectives and priorities within tight deadlines. Ability to set goals, prioritize projects and execute continuous improvement projects and initiatives. Proven track record managing complex continuous improvement projects. Proven ability to diagnose root cause problems, reach solid conclusions, develop implementable solutions, articulate ideas crisply and concisely, and build consensus across the division.
