Job Description: You will serve as a CRANE OPERATOR in the DEPARTMENT OF NAVY to include work sites of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Trident Repair Facility, Bangor, Trident Refit Facility, Kings Bay, and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Job Responsibilities: You will comprehend crane capacity charts and understanding computer Load Movement Indicator. You will closely observe operating techniques, safety factors, and comprehend the characteristics of weight lifting equipment. You will be operating Bridge Cranes, Westmont Portal Cranes, Craft SCR and Point Control Protal Cranes, Samsung Portal Cranes, AM Clyde Portal Cranes, AT / RT Mobile Cranes, Dual Engine Truck Cranes and Floating Cranes to support shipyard projects. You will operate cranes at all boom lengths, angles, and positions during continual location changes. You will work in areas outside the line of vision and accurately operate with direction from hand signals or high power radios. Job Requirements: This position may require exposure to high noise levels. This may be a Drug Testing position. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
