Job Description: This position is being announced under FEMA's Cadre of On-call Response/Recovery Employee (CORE) Program. This is a temporary appointment in the Excepted Service, not to exceed 2 years, with the option to extend based on workload and funding availability. Veterans Preference does not apply to the CORE selection process. Job Responsibilities: Collaborating with leadership and with the Office of Disability and Integration and Coordination on a Federal, State and Local level. Interpreting regulations and policies such as the Disability Act of 1990, the Rehabilitation Act and other disability laws. Developing policies and procedures for providing reasonable accommodation and inclusion to those with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Job Requirements: Selective service registration is required for males born after 12/31/59. Travel will be required. You must successfully pass a background investigation.
