Job Description: To ensure the production of innovative, sustainable and excellent quality Agricultural Produce products at a competitive price for the Woolworths customer Job Responsibilities: Work in collaboration with growers and colleagues on varietal development to deliver innovative produce products Work in collaboration with growers and colleagues to develop and maintain optimal quality standards for produce products Work with growers to ensure products are grown and produced in in the most efficient way using sustainable agronomic practices and in accordance with WW requirements Work closely with colleagues and growers to devise and implement business and technical strategy Assess and trial the quality of agricultural products and processes in order to maintain the quality and safety of products for the customer and to safeguard the reputation of WW Identify, assess and approve suitable new growers in order to further quality, availability, safety, trust, value and innovation in produce products Ensure technical specs and policies are in place and in accordance with legal requirements and current established WW guidelines Job Requirements: Assertive communication and conflict handling skills Interpersonal skills with willingness to commit to team goals and to work effectively with a diverse group of people in a fast-paced, pressurised environment Project management skills Innovation / continuous improvement mind-set Pro-active, innovative and entrepreneurial Networking and influencing skills Business acumen, judgement and problem solving ability.
