Job Description: As an OFP Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA you will provide Assembly Manufacturing Engineering (ME) support and troubleshooting for current operations in the Articulated Dump Truck business. You will engage with our workforce to overcome operational difficulties (assembly or fabrication), work with a cross functional team to execute continuous improvement projects and contribute to the overall One Davenport team. You will join a dynamic team and operate in a challenging production environment where valuing others, diversity and inclusion are critical to the success of our team and business. In addition, you will: Job Responsibilities: Design tools and fixtures and support the maintenance of production tooling & fixtures Design cell layouts to improve material flow and part presentation in department Assist in the investigation and resolution of warranty and customer field issues Support, communicate and implement Engineering changes Drive lean manufacturing and waste elimination through established 5S policies and procedures Identify opportunities and implement continuous improvement projects impacting safety, quality, efficiency, cost and ergonomic improvements for department Train new operators to ensure that they are successful in their manufacturing method to achieve our safety, quality, delivery and efficiency goals. Establish routings, SOE (sequence of events), work standards, layouts, tooling, assembly costs, OMS (o perator methods sheets) and control plans for revisions to current operations Qualification & Experience: Experience in one of more related engineering areas: Industrial, Reliability, Design, Manufacturing or Quality Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases Experience working with incentive pay systems, especially gainsharing programs such as CIPP ( Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) A self- starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks Experience with MPPlanner for SOE and OMS development Understanding of manufacturing processes and working in a production environment Ability to work over time and weekends, if needed Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools Experience with shop floor documentation, i.e. Sequence of Events (SOE), Labor Standards and Operator Methods Sheets (OMS) Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with salaried and wage personnel in a team environment Job Details: Company: John Deere Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Davenport, IA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careersvite.com
