Job Description: The Senior IBM Mainframe System Programmer installs, tests, and maintains the z/OS operating system, and related IBM and third-party software products. The Programmer should have general knowledge of the operation of and problem-resolution for most vendor-provided mainframe software. Additionally, they should have in-depth knowledge and experience in one or more specialized areas. The candidate will contribute to policy level IT standards and guidelines regarding software installation, system performance, system security requirements, and disaster recovery testing to maintain production and quality assurance LPAR's, improve system operations, and maximize system resource utilization. Job Responsibilities: Provide backup support for 23 DB2 for z/OS subsystems Provide procedural documentation as appropriate.
